Congressman Price presents the 2nd
Battalion,
1st Brigade of the GA
State Defense Force with the
President’s Volunteer Service Award
Award is a Prestigious
National Honor for Volunteer Service
Marietta, GA – GA State Defense Force today announced that 2nd Battalion, First Brigade has been awarded the 2007 President’s Volunteer Service Award, a national honor offered in recognition of volunteer service. The Award was presented to 2BN Commanding Officer, CPT Amie Toole, by Congressman Tom Price following the Memorial Day Service at Marietta Cemetery where 2BN handled security and traffic control.
State Defense Force aids search for missing teen.
Approx 150 soldiers from the GA State Defense Force searched on Saturday Nov. 24 for signs of Justin Gaines who disappeared several weeks earlier after leaving a local night club. Nothing was turned up in the search of this rough terrain.
